Who we are
The Auxiliary is a dedicated group of volunteers who organize events and raise funds through raffles and events like the Annual Doc Lopez Run for Health and Dinner@8. The funds we raise help support the purcahse of new equipment, refreshments for staff and visitors, and warm blankets, hats, mittens, and clothing for patients in need. We also support community health screenings, the beautification of hospital grounds, and the Crown Point Health Center Food Pantry.
It all started in 1946 when a group of 47 local women joined together to form the first and still active Auxiliary for Elizabethtown Community Hospital, which opened in 1926. Their mission was to help keep the hospital in operation.
Today, the Auxiliary continues to support the Elizabethtown Community Hospital mission. The Auxiliary has raised tens of thousands of dollars over the last 50 years to improve the patient experience and support the health and wellbeing of our community.
