ECH Paramedic Education Program
At the University of Vermont Health Network - Elizabethtown Community Hospital (ECH), we understand that paramedics play a critical role in the health of our community. ECH is a leader in paramedic education in northern New York and offers a Paramedic Education Program to train the next workforce of career and volunteer paramedics.

Paramedic Education Program at a Glance
The ECH Paramedic Education Program is an intensive training program which blends an on-line learning environment, classroom sessions, lab sessions, and clinical experience. It is a 16-month, 1100-hour program.
Hands-on clinical training is offered at over 15 regional health care organizations and 28 EMS agencies across Northern New York and Vermont.
Classroom locations across the region and online coursework make it easier for students from Clinton, Essex, Franklin, St. Lawrence, Warren, and Washington counties to learn closer to home.
When possible, the program seeks out opportunities for our students to learn in new ways. This past year, for the first time, a cadaver anatomy and procedures lab was hosted for paramedic students and EMS providers around the region. This lab allowed our students the unique opportunity to learn in a way you cannot from books or manikins.
Tuition and fees are approximately $6,000 and scholarships are available.
