Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital, Elizabethtown Community Hospital Emergency Department in Top 5% of Health Care Facilities for Clinical Quality, Patient Experience

Press Ganey recognizes both University of Vermont Health Network partners for high standards of patient-centered care

PLATTSBURGH, NY - Two University of Vermont Health Network partner hospitals, Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital (CVPH) and Elizabethtown Community Hospital (ECH) recently joined an elite group of health care organizations after being ranked in the top 5% of similar-sized facilities for clinical quality and patient experience, respectively, by Press Ganey, the global leader in health care experience solutions and service.

“Delivering the high-quality care our friends and neighbors need requires an on-going commitment by our team of skilled professionals. This award celebrates their dedication to the delivery of great, compassionate care - every day and to every patient,” said CVPH President Michelle LeBeau.

After an encounter with most ECH services, patients receive a survey, or depending on preference, links to a survey via text or email, from Press Ganey who analyzes responses and compares the results to other facilities of similar size. It is the responses to these surveys by ECH Emergency Department patients that led to the service earning this prestigious award.  Press Ganey based the award on patient responses to questions about the Likelihood to Recommend, an Overall Rating and Teamwork.

“This is a well-earned recognition of our Emergency Department’s patient-centered approach to delivering care. The team commits itself to delivering exceptional and compassionate care to each patient” said Elizabethtown Community Hospital and Porter Hospital President Bob Ortmyer.
